FAQ

Do I need to use a clicker?

Using a clicker is highly recommended, but not required. The click is more powerful for training than a word because it is not a sound your dog hears in normal day to day circumstances. The click only means one thing: a reward is coming for doing a desired behavior.

How Many Treats do I need?

For a training session, always bring more treats than you think you'll need. We also recommend to use treats that are not common place: such as bits of hotdog, string cheese, chicken, dehydrated meats, etc.

Will I need to use my clicker and treats forever?

Nope! The clicker is used to teach new behaviors and tweak old ones. Once the behavior is learned and on cue, the clicker is no longer necessary. Your pup will always appreciate a tasty reward however, for performing a desired behavior.

what should i bring to a training session?

Tasty treats! A treat bag to hold your treats. Clicker. A regular 6-foot leash (NO RETRACTABLE LEADS!). Your dog's flat buckle collar or harness to attach their leash to.
